Unseen Divinity

I am the goal of existence, and I am not to be stumbled upon, but to be achieved

The Subconscious is NOT Static – As a Matter of Fact – Nothing is!

So I’m reading a book by P.D Ouspensky, a short read, “The Psychology of Man’s Possible Evolution” – great read!  Gotta read it twice though – it is a gold mine!

In one paragraph he touches on consciousness and  the sub-conscious – claiming that both are not permanent.  This statement is contrary to what is typically discussed in association with the mind. Suddenly it dawned on me!  I understood what Ouspensky was referring to!

We tend to believe that our earliest experiences/ideas have remained imprinted in our subconscious, which then triggers our conscious.  I say, it’s not that today you are directly acting out THAT IDEA/BELIEF from your infancy (stored somewhere in the subconscious); it’s that at one point  you had an experience and from that you acquired a belief that shaped you in some way. From THIS acquired idea you then created new experiences that reinforced that ORIGINAL belief, and you have now replaced that first experience with a newer one.  You now stored THIS latest experience as proof of your ORIGINAL belief – and this phenomenon keeps happening over and over and over.  Experiences are upgraded to newer, more elegant versions!

It’s not the ORIGINAL belief that gets stored and then drives our behavior – what the mind acts/reacts upon is the latest experience version from that ORIGINAL belief!

NOTHING is permanent or static – this universe and its components (that means you) are always in a state of flux.  This is the main reason why you are able to train the mind, because a belief/experience from a thousand hours ago – is not permanently imprinted!

Forgiveness…

Can you forgive yourself for all the mistakes you’ve made?
Can you forgive your friends and loved ones for the pain they’ve inflicted upon you?
Can you forgive humanity for all the injustices it’s inflicted upon itself?
Can you find strength in pain and then use that strength to make the world a better place?

On Balance…

In Greek mythology, Icarus is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus. Often depicted in art, Icarus and his father attempt to escape from Crete by means of wings that his father constructed from feathers and wax. Icarus’ father warns him first of complacency and then of hubris, asking that he fly neither too low nor too high, because the sea’s dampness would clog or the sun’s heat would melt his wings. Icarus ignored instructions not to fly too close to the sun, and the melting wax caused him to fall into the sea where he drowned.

On Comparing

“From the very beginning you are being told to compare yourself with others. This is the greatest disease; it is like a cancer that goes on destroying your very soul. Each individual is unique, and comparison is not possible. I am just myself and you are just yourself. There is nobody else in the world to be compared with. Do you compare a marigold with a roseflower? You don’t compare. Do you compare a mango with an apple? You don’t compare. You know they are different – comparison is not possible.” – OSHO

Visions – The Truth

Most of us Believe that a Vision is a thought or – a Dream that is in the process/or has the chance of becoming a Reality (able to be perceived by ALL your senses).   Because Dreams and Visions happen in the Mind – they are perceived as being Lite, not dense – or not yet materialized (Real).

The Truth? A Vision/Dream IS a ‘materialized’ idea that is projected/communicated from your perceived Future Self to your Now Self.

Therefore, YOUR Vision/Dream HAS already ‘happened’!  it is NOT in the process of ‘Happening’…

On Age…(or Time part 2)

1) Man affirms the existence of a “Beginning” and an “End” when he acknowledges or accepts that something/someone “Ages”.

2) EVERYTHING in the Universe (including you) is Energy.

3) Energy does not “End” or “Begin” – it can only be transformed…

On Perfection…

Have you ever been in the middle of an experience, which triggered your need to use the word “perfect” or “beautiful” to describe that experience?

So I ask you – if you have the ability to recognize Perfection and/or Beauty –  if this feeling arises from somewhere within you – why do you see yourself as not perfect or beautiful?

If Like attracts Like, if Like acknowledges Like – aren’t you also Perfection and/or Beauty?

If you can see, feel, taste, smell, hear and experience Perfection or Beauty:

Like the ocean

Like the sun

Like the sound of music

Like the flowers

Like birds

Like colors

Doesn’t that make it obvious??  What more proof do you need??

Love – A Force?

What is love?  Humans have defined love as a ‘feeling’ – which is a label to help us recognize what that sensation is so we can communicate it to the ‘experience’ we are ‘loving’.  It is said that our core feelings are the door to the soul…that they are a mechanism to help us get in touch with our essence – since our essence is Love.  We then label it as a ‘feeling’.

I think we can all agree that we perceive Love as a very powerful Force.  But like every force – I can also argue that because a Force can fluctuate – a Force could be real – but not Truth.  I can then say that Love is not powerful – it just Is – energy – with no adjective before or after. It is just Truth…

To support my point of view – what if I said that love is everywhere and always?  Love is opening your eyes in the morning after a long sleep.  In fact when you blink – you are loving your eyes.  You are providing your eyes with moisture so you can see better – because deep inside you love yourself.  To see is to experience life = Love!

When you do things that bring a smile to your face – you are manifesting Love.  The opposite is also true – NOT doing things that bring a smile to your face is NOT manifesting self-Love.  So when you take a walk, that is Love.  Or when you cry – that is Love.  Because even in sadness you acknowledge that there is pain and because you love yourself you let that pain run through you so that it can pass, so that you can leave space for more Love.

So you see LOVE is everywhere and always = Truth.  ALL arises from love…and that includes YOU.

“I Don’t Know What I Want!”

I often hear people say, and write about…“You don’t know what you want? If you knew what you wanted, things would be much easier”  Where does this come from I wonder.  I noticed that people typically surf life consciously and surprisingly, spending significant time (and money) reaching decisions about a “tangible notion” of what they “want”. At some point we adopted the idea that if we don’t know what we want we will never know and will somehow end up in a place/mind state where the unknowable will be overwhelming and our lives will embark on the “wrong path”!  If you think about it, we ultimately are taking someone else’s opinion to define OUR life: “You don’t know what you want.  If you knew what you wanted, things would be much easier” !  Really??

One layer deeper: if you today spend some time making decisions on what you want (isn’t that “looking” into the future) – you are immediately – most likely – making a decision based on past experiences (habits, concepts you derive by the observation of other human beings, etc…), which will most likely not be the most accurate method to help you objectify your future wants. Can you then before deciding on what you want, know who you ARE now and who you will BE next month?. How about making a decision NOW guided solely by feelings of peace versus anxiety or fear?  Is “wanting” for you: a desire, a need, an accomplishment to seek approval from someone or society, or something external to help define your worth?

Deeper: NOT wanting signifies lack of control – signifies letting go of “life” and therefore placing “it” on the hands of the greater One – trusting.  Ultimately, letting go means to unconditionally trust YOURSELF!  “Wanting” could also be controlling the outcome of: your feelings, your pain, yearning for a “feeling of happiness” that will excitingly last longer than 5 minutes, calming down the fear of death, not wanting to be alone, etc…

On the other hand, once you know what you want – do you see the acceptance/approval  received from others?  Do you FEEL the acceptance towards yourself because you have successfully accomplished another task/goal? Do you FEEL the fear immediately disappearing?…You can look into the future and it is so bright!!…;)

I get it – there are some mundane things that we need to “plan” for….but personally – for most things – I say – F4ck it! – fully accept that you don’t know what you want and that’s that!  And that is OK – the concept and acceptance of “not knowing” leaves vast room for new experiences; for non-judgment!  Embrace the “I don’t know what I want” mantra – feel it, live it!!…do I want coffee? I don’t know! Do I want to run? I don’t know…do I want to call a friend? I don’t know…and there you ARE – still alive, still OK, still enjoying the beautiful bright star gently caressing your epidermis –  And you still don’t know what you want! 🙂

Alone At Last!

“Why is there pain when you are alone? The first thing is that your ego gets ill. Your ego can exist only with others. It has grown in relationship, it cannot exist alone. So if the situation is one in which it can exist no more, it feels suffocated; it feels just on the verge of death. This is the deepest suffering. You feel as if you are dying. But it is not you who is dying, only the ego, which you have taken to be yourself, with which you have become identified. It cannot exist because it has been given to you by others. It is a contribution. When you leave others you cannot carry it with you.” – Osho
